    THE INITIATION AND PROLIFERATION

    Matrix started its journey as a startup in 1991, through the hands of Ganesh Jivani (CEO). With a certified career in Computer Science, Mr. Jivani was powered, with a motivation to provide best-in-class security and telecom solutions. Prior to Matrix, he had experience in Product Engineering and R&D, which helped him start his journey, with a single product and a single employee. His ambition to design, manufacture, and market his products worldwide helped in launching the PBX, the first product of Matrix, and began to sell across Gujarat. This product laid the foundation on which Mr. Jivani thrived his

    business. With time Matrix expanded its portfolio, markets, people, and infrastructure and started offering a complete range of PBX and Media Gateways.

    Matrix has always sought progressive opportunities, by providing different solutions to the same customer. The strategy helped them identify that customers relied on a single OEM for telecom and security solutions. As such, they brought security solutions onboard, adding product lines to commensurate with three dimensions – Technologies, Distribution Network, and Customers.

    Moving ahead in this strategy, they launched biometric solutions for Time-Attendance and Access Control applications, in 2007. The introduction of security solutions further paved the way for IP Video Surveillance. Hence, IP Cameras, Network Video Recorders, and Video Management System were added to the portfolio in 2010. From there on, Matrix has journeyed as a one-stop-shop for all telecommunication equipment and security solutions.

First, they are willing to expand their product portfolio; with this strategy, they have been working on People Mobility Management, for the last five years. They provided solutions in Access Control, Time-Attendance, Contract Workers Management, Visitor Management, Cafeteria Management and further diversified in video surveillance, offering Video Management System (VMS), Network Video Recorders (NVR) and Network Cameras.

    Second, they’re aiming towards geographical expansion. With already having a presence in  50+ countries, including the USA, Canada, Italy, England, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Romania, Turkey, The UAE, KSA, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Australia, Papua New Guinea(PNG), South Korea, etc. they are willing to build a presence in more tech-advanced countries. Third, they are exploring new sales channels. Primarily, Matrix has functioned in the private sector, but now it has a dedicated sales team, for Government foundations and has a significant presence in the Government e-marketplace (GeM).
